I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Integrative Couples Therapy in Encinitas, California. My work centers on helping couples and families find their way through the moments when relationships feel strained, uncertain, or overwhelmed. Many people come to therapy feeling hurt, disconnected, or unsure how things became this way. Therapy offers a steady place to slow down, understand what has been happening between you, and begin moving toward greater connection, clarity, and care.
At Integrative Couples Therapy, I offer couples therapy, family therapy, discernment counseling, and couples workshops. Some couples come hoping to strengthen their relationship and feel closer again. Others arrive in deep distress, needing support after conflict, disconnection, or betrayal. There are also times when partners reach a crossroads and feel uncertain about whether the relationship will continue. In these moments, discernment counseling provides a structured and respectful process to help couples consider their next steps with thoughtfulness and care.
Family therapy is an important part of my work. I support families navigating parent child conflict, big emotions and behaviors in children and teens, blended family dynamics, and the challenges that come with transitions such as separation, divorce, or addiction recovery. Family relationships can become tense or fragile over time, and therapy offers a place to restore communication, strengthen connection, and create a more stable and supportive family life.
My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an evidence based model that helps people understand the deeper emotions and attachment needs that shape how they relate to one another. As these patterns become clearer, relationships often begin to soften. Partners and family members are able to respond to each other in new ways that create greater emotional safety, trust, and connection.
My style is warm, steady, and compassionate. I work to create an environment where each person feels respected and understood, while gently guiding the process toward meaningful shifts in how you relate to one another. Many of the couples and families I work with are parents, professionals, and business owners balancing full and demanding lives. I have a particular interest in working with high performers and family business owners, where the pressures of leadership, responsibility, and shared roles can place unique strain on relationships. In this work, we make space for both the relationship and the life you are building together.
Couples workshops offer another way to invest in your relationship in a supportive group setting. These gatherings provide space to step away from the pace of daily life, deepen understanding, and reconnect in ways that feel more supportive and close.
I hold a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Diego. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and additional training in infidelity, trauma, sexuality, parenting, and family therapy. I also serve on the Board of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Outside of my work, I enjoy running, yoga, hiking, and spending time near the ocean with my life partner and our five children.
