Cristina Trette is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in helping couples navigate some of the most painful and uncertain moments within their marriage. Her areas of focus include healing after infidelity, discernment counseling for couples considering divorce, and helping couples navigate alcohol use and recovery. She is passionate about creating a space where couples can have honest conversations, work through painful patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change in their relationship.

Cristina’s approach is warm, compassionate and direct. She helps couples slow down reactive cycles, better understand the emotions and needs beneath conflict, and develop new ways of relating that foster greater connection, trust, and commitment, Her work is grounded in the belief that people long to feel understood and supported, especially during periods of uncertainty and distress. Many of her clients are business owners or professionals in law, finance, engineering, and healthcare who are highly successful in their careers yet find themselves struggling within their marriage or family relationships.

Cristina has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), including specialized training in infidelity, trauma, addiction, sexual intimacy, parenting, co-parenting, and family therapy. She is currently pursuing EFCT certification and served on the board of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy for eight years.

Cristina holds a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Diego. She is the founder of Integrative Couples Therapy, where she leads a small team of couples therapists, and the founder of Seremar Collective, which provides office space, learning opportunities, and professional support for therapists.

Outside of her work, Cristina enjoys spending time with her life partner and their five children. She feels most restored near the ocean, running, hiking, surfing, and practicing yoga
