Marriage and Family Therapist

Integrative Couples Therapy, based in Encinitas, California, is seeking a Licensed or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping couples heal and strengthen relationships. This is the perfect position for a therapist wanting to work in a serene private practice, receive consultation and supervision in couples therapy, and develop the skills needed to build and sustain a private pay caseload. This is a part time W2 office-based position in Encinitas, California with no benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related program of study.

  • Current Associate Registration or Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. We are only considering applicants with an active registrations/license in good standing.

  • Have availability to work in our Encinitas office on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 12pm and 7pm, approximately.

  • One year experience conducting couples therapy.

  • Strong interest in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and attachment theory. (Some training is provided).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Completion of the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Externship (documentation will be requested).

  • Experience and training in one or more of the following areas: parenting support, perinatal mental health, family therapy, sex therapy, addiction, coparenting, divorce, trauma.

  • You primarily see yourself as an individual therapist and are seeking relational hours solely to meet licensure requirements.

  • You want to work in a fast paced clinical setting with an immediate offering of 20 or more clinical hours per week.

  • You are nearing completion of your AMFT hours and want to start your own practice upon licensure.

  • You are looking for a virtual or hybrid position.

  • You are seeking a full-time position with salary and benefits. It is our goal to offer salary and benefits, but at this time, this position is W2 hourly without benefits.
