Hello, I'm Tara Gehler, and I am a Clinical Supervisor at Integrative Couples Therapy. With over 15 years of experience in providing therapy and mentoring therapists, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my role. My professional journey has led me to work with diverse populations, including couples, families, adults, and children in both non-profit and private organizations. My dedication lies in helping therapists grow, and supporting others as they navigate challenges, always emphasizing that there is hope and a solution for every situation.
In addition to being a clinical supervisor and therapist, I'm also a friend, a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a wife. This personal perspective allows me to deeply understand the range and magnitude of experiences people hold. I approach supervision with an integrated, strength-based, and solution-focused approach tailored to each person's unique circumstances.
My academic background includes a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from San Diego State University. I'm a proud member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and hold the distinction of being an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor.
When I'm not supervising therapists or seeing clients in my private practice you'll find me on the sidelines, cheering for my kids as they participate in various sports teams. Beyond that, I cherish spending time with family and friends, enjoying the beach, hiking, and staying active.
